Lavinia Rodgers

I would like to formally introduce myself as your child’s ECE teacher in room 117.  I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Licensure.  I have taught and mentored children of all ages for over 20 years, including 4 years of working as a paraprofessional in DPS schools. I am a licensed teacher, currently teaching 11 years this school year. I make it a priority to serve in the community in which I live. I enjoy reading autobiographies, shopping, traveling and spending time with my family (my husband of 25 years and my two adult daughters—one, who graduated college two years ago and starting her second year of teaching as a 3rd grade teacher and the other, finished college in May (currently working as a Doctor Scribe) and planning on starting Med. School in the fall. I’m also a first time grandma “Glamma” to my 3 year old granddaughter “Glambaby” NajIa (from my oldest daugther). I’m honored to have this opportunity to be your child’s teacher and support you in their educational journey. I have a passion and dedication for working with young children and helping them develop their learning skills as well as their social/emotional growth. Together, we can provide your child with an inspiring and meaningful ECE experience in preparation for kindergarten.
