My name is Kimberly Hunter! I am a reading intervention teacher and literacy team specialist. I primarily work with students and teachers in grades kindergarten through third grade. This is my dream job! I love helping students learn how to read and encouraging them to get excited about all the material they can now read!! I have two postgraduate degrees in teaching reading and I also have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Childhood Education. Before coming to Green Valley Elementary, my career path had me being a 3rd-grade teacher, assistant principal, coordinator of a math and literacy program, and then finally a senior manager of a math program.

I am a native of Denver, CO. I went to Ashley Elementary, and Hamilton Middle School and graduated from George Washington High School. I have one daughter and one little dog named Tia! In my free time, I love spending time with my daughter, watching reality TV, and traveling to any place that has an ocean and beach! It is my favorite place to be!
