My name is Heike Parks and I am originally from Germany. My husband was in the US Army, stationed in Germany, where we met and got married more than 30 years ago. We have three awesome children and their wonderful spouses, and two beautiful grandchildren who are expecting another sibling in April, 2021. After 19 years in Arizona, we decided to move to Colorado, in 2019, to be close to our grandkids. In January, 2020, I joined the wonderful Green Valley Elementary School Team as the Library Paraprofessional. Having worked in a high school’s library for many years, it was an adjustment working at an elementary school at first. But now it is such a pleasure to see those cute smiling faces on a regular basis, reading to them, providing them with library information, and to see them grow.
