Green Valley Eco Club
 The Green Valley Eco Club is a team of students and teachers working to reduce our school's waste and promote environmental stewardship. Students can join the club by contacting 5th Grade Teacher Clayton Dewey.
In 2008-2009 the Eco Club did the following
-won a grant from Green Up Schools to reduce school waste -organized assemblies for all grade levels informing students on how much waste we generate -composted food waste in our classroom using a worm bin -expanded the school recycling program from paper to also include plastic and glass -participated in a Recycling Webquest -implemented a responsible paper towel waste campaign -started a Zero Waste Lunch program -visited the Alpine Recycling Plant and conducted an interview with an employee -produced a documentary for fellow students interested in starting Eco Clubs and reducing waste
